(Reston, Va.) February 26, 2015 – Leidos (NYSE: LDOS), a health, national security and engineering solutions company, announced the appointment of Douglas Herr as vice president for the Epic vendor practice of Leidos Health. His role will focus on managing operational and financial performance, with emphasis on building services specific for the Epic vendor practice.
As the vendor practice executive, Herr will work closely with strategic account executives and clients to support sales efforts, oversee delivery and support our consultants. He will lead efforts to develop the organization’s operational model and the practice infrastructure to support service offerings, including identifying offerings that are scalable with predictable profitability. His responsibilities will include profit and loss, resource management, delivery quality, client satisfaction, vendor sales support, methodology and operations.
Prior to Leidos Health, Herr was Senior Vice President for strategic services at Logic Healthcare, where he was responsible for the direct management and oversight of the Epic, MEDITECH and Cerner practices. Herr also held leadership roles in client and vendor relations at Stoltenberg Consulting, maxIT Healthcare and ACS Healthcare Solutions.

Herr earned a bachelor’s degree from Emerson College. He also holds an Epic Cadence Certification. Herr is a member of several associations including HIMSS (Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society), CHIME (College of Healthcare Information Management Executives) and American Pediatrics Surgical Managers Association.
